Former top referee dies

FORMER top referee Arwyn Roberts of Llanddewi Brefi has died.

Mr Roberts, who was in his 80s, took up the whistle in the 1970s and established himself as one of the best match officials in Mid Wales football.

After his refereeing days he represented the Costcutter League on the Central Wales Football Association.
