Char­ity quiz night Am­man United RFC will be host­ing a char­ity quiz night to­mor­row from 7pm, all pro­ceeds to­wards World­wide Can­cer Re­search; en­try £1 per player, with a raf­fle, re­fresh­ments, plus some fan­tas­tic prizes. Many thanks to all the lo­cal com­pa­nies for their sup­port and for do­nat­ing prizes. Po­lice and com­mu­nity to­gether The next Cw­mam­man Pact meet­ing will be tonight at 7pm at Bro Ryan, Glana­man. Sport­ing equip­ment avail­able Ys­gol y Bedol would be very grate­ful if any­one would sup­port them by vot­ing for them at Tesco, Am­man­ford. The school could get as much as £3,000, which would go to­wards sport­ing equip­ment. Cw­mam­man Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Will meet on Thurs­day at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, High Street, Glana­man, be­tween 2pm and 4pm. Mem­bers were very sorry to hear of the pass­ing away of one of our loyal mem­bers, Yvonne James of Maesy­bont, and ex­tend sym­pa­thy to her fam­ily. We hope all en­joyed their Christ­mas din­ner at Gar­nant Golf Club. Birth­day wishes are ex­pressed be­lat­edly to two mem­bers, Mair How­ells and Vera Za­horec. Many thanks to those who con­tinue to bring raf­fle dona­tions,and help with the tea.

Cen­tre events A new dance school started at the com­mu­nity cen­tre, Glana­man, on Tues­day, Novem­ber 27. Mean­while, a new sewing class be­gan on Novem­ber 22, while an ex­tra tai chi class will be be­gin­ning on De­cem­ber 11. All the other reg­u­lar classes con­tinue, please con­tact cen­tre man­ager Elin Rees for any fur­ther in­for­ma­tion needed, on 07971 522906.

Clwb yr Aman events Am­man United RFC’s an­nual Christ­mas din­ner will be on De­cem­ber 15; please see Eleanor Tem­ple­ton for tick­ets. The Am­man Ju­niors’ Christ­mas party will be held on De­cem­ber 16. Look­ing ahead, on De­cem­ber 22 the first XV squad will have their an­nual Christ­mas jumper day, with a tur­key shoot. Box­ing Day is again char­ity day, with a Past ver­sus Present match, fol­lowed by Chris Sum­mer­ill in the club­house, plus an auc­tion.

Well done To two pupils at Ys­gol y Bedol, namely Mor­gan and Evie, who held a cake stall and raised £65.70 for the char­ity Hands up for Downs; llongy­farchi­adau, blant.

Choir in con­cert Cor Meibion Dyf­fryn Aman will be in con­cert at Gar­nant Golf Club on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 15, com­menc­ing at 7pm. Tick­ets are £5,and bar meals will also be avail­able. Wed­ding an­niver­sary Very best wishes to well-known Twyn, Gar­nant, cou­ple John and Freda Lyons, of Oak­field Road, who cel­e­brate their 57th wed­ding an­niver­sary on Sun­day.

Brav­ing the shave Well done to Char­lotte Rogers, who braved the shave at Ys­gol y Bedol, in Smil­ing Faces’ group when Char­lotte had her locks cut and shaved to raise money and aware­ness for Macmil­lan.

Ju­niors’ Christ­mas party Cw­mam­man United AFC ju­nior sec­tion’s Christ­mas party will be held on Satur­day and Sun­day at Ys­gol y Bedol, in­clud­ing en­ter­tain­ment from Mr Crum­ble, plenty of hot/cold drinks, hot dogs, choco­lates and more.

Well done, Flynn Cw­mam­man United AFC as a club are very proud of one of their young prod­ucts, goal­keeper Flynn Wil­liams, who trav­elled to Lon­don on Novem­ber 24 with the Swans Un­der-9s’ academy to play against the Arse­nal academy.
