IT’S one of the most anticipated TV events of 2019, and now you can be involved in the making of Keeping Faith series two.

The hit drama series, which was broadcast in Welsh under the name Un Bore Mercher late in 2017 and filmed in Carmarthen and Laugharne, really took off and wowed fans across the UK when it was aired on BBC One in 2018.

After much speculation, series two of the series was confirmed and the opening episode of the Welsh language broadcast is due to air on S4C on Sunday, May 12, with the English version to follow.

Now, you could be one of a lucky trio who can not only have a sneak peek into the filming of series two, but work on the show itself.

Ffilm Cymru is giving people the unique opportunity to work on location as the series continues to be filmed up until the end of February, with roles in the production, art and location departments all up for grabs.

Ffilm Cymru are offering the roles as part of their Foot in the Door training scheme, which aims to give people an opportunity to spend a whole week on the Keeping Faith set, on a number of different locations across South Wales.

The roles are open to anyone over the age of 18 and those chosen will receive guidance, advice and mentorship from experts within the TV production industry.

The scheme says it will “prioritise applications from those currently not in employment, education, or other training programmes and from housing association tenants” and that an “ability to speak Welsh is essential”, whether fluently or as a learner.

Successful applicants will receive training between January 29 and 31, and the week-long placements will take place between February 4 and 8.

If you think you have what it takes to be a part of Keeping Faith series two, you need to apply before noon tomorrow.

Anticipation for series two has been building since the climax to series one left more questions than answers about the lives of solicitor Faith Howells and her mysterious husband Evan, who disappears without trace in the very first episode.

The expectation to see what happens next heightened last week when BBC Wales teased fans with a quick video of star Eve Myles walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside wearing her nowiconic yellow mac.

Myles is clearly as excited as everyone else, as she explained last year.

“It’s a huge story – we are blocking everything out really and keeping it honest to the piece and keeping it full of love and fear and hope,” she said.

“It’s a real taster of what you got in the first series.”
