Swallows hit best form

-

LLANDYSUL returned to form in division one of the Costcutter Football League with a 3-1 win over visiting Felinfach.

Chris Harries latched on to a ball over the Felinfach defence and put the Swallows in front midway through the first half and Dean Jones headed home at a corner to double the advantage.

During the second half Gareth Winston, who was returning from a long lay-off, netted Llandysul’s third goal to wrap up the points.

Newcastle Emlyn enjoyed a 2-1 win over Cardigan Town at Parc Emlyn. The Magpies led at the interval but conceded twice during the second half.

Thomas Gardener fired Town ahead and they held out until early in the second period when Dion Davies, who hit a hat-trick the previous week, netted with a free-kick.

Emlyn midfielder Huw Jones left two would-be markers in his wake before driving home from the edge of the penalty area.

Aberaeron Reserves and Ffostrasol picked up a point apiece from a 2-2 draw at Square Field.
