Steff sparks a goal spree

AMMANFORD Under-15s continued their superb form of run in the Carmarthenshire Junior League with a 7-0 victory over Whitland.

It was their third consecutive clean sheet.

Ammanford took the early initiative with Steffan Thomas opening the scoring after just three minutes. It was set up by Osian Davies, who later provided goals for Harri Jones and Harry Thomas.

The hosts passed the ball around with confidence, with goalkeeper Kieran Brookes always looking to speed the game up.

Ammanford were three goals up at the break, though Whitland had their chances and could have narrowed the deficit but for a fine display by Brookes.

Tyler Davison was having a fine game and helped himself to a brace of goals.

Ethan Morgan, Kellen Edwards and Logan Davies entered the fold and got right into it, with Edwards bursting forward on occasions and scoring the seventh with an excellent goal assisted by Steffan Thomas.

Whitland continued to battle and should be applauded for their efforts throughout the game against a good Ammanford team with some terrific individual performances.

Not a single free-kick was awarded for dissent or foul play in a fine advert for junior football.
