Auctioneers and valuers to expand
A WELSH auctioneers and valuers firm are expanding with new premises in Carmarthen.
Rogers Jones Auctioneers and Valuers which has auction rooms in both Cardiff and Colwyn Bay will open a new site at the Old Vicarage in Picton Terrace, Carmarthen in January.
This will be for valuations and consignments, with anything for auction being sent to the Cardiff auction room.
Charles Hampshire at the firm has worked in the west Wales area for several years and will run the Carmarthen base with his wife Morganna.
He said: “For all our clients in west Wales, we are very excited to announce that we will shortly be opening new premises in Carmarthen.
“I have seen steep increase in demand for our services in Swansea, The Gower, Carmarthenshire, and Pembrokeshire.
“So to find a new home in the region and enhance the auction experience for our growing number of west Wales clients, was a logical step forward for the business.”
The Old Vicarage has been empty for some time but is full of character, nestled next to Carmarthen Park. The facility will provide a safe and secure collection point for buyers.
There will be regular specialist valuation days with Charles available by appointment each week valuing jewellery, watches, coins and all manner of antiques and collectables.
Mr Hampshire added: “Our vision is that the vicarage will act as a portal for consignments to our flagship tri-annual Welsh and selection auctions, as well as our extremely popular vintage and antique auctions and newly launched interiors sales.
“We also have many other ideas for the space in 2021”.
From January 11, the offices will be open Monday to Thursday, 10am4pm, with house visits and professional work being carried out throughout Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion regularly.
