MUCH like its titular character, this game had so much to live up to, following in the footsteps of 2018’s superb Marvel’s Spider-man.
But just like its protagonist, Miles Morales was more than ready for the challenge. Building and expanding on the previous game, combat feels sharper, and Miles’ character is fleshed out in a rich plot that benefits from the schoolboy’s warm and loving family dynamic.
Set a year after the first game, Miles’ world may feel smaller, but it’s no less of a joy to explore.
PS5 players can experience the game through Sony’s new Dualsense controller, meaning you feel the tension and recoil from every web shot, punch and web-swing. The only downside is, that once you’ve played it through, you’re left wanting more.
