Church update Due to circumstances affecting us all we are still unable to hold services in Llansteffan Church nor any other church in our local ministry area. We keep a constant watch on developments on a regular basis but services within our LMA continue on Facebook and on Youtube and a zoom link is available as well as virtual visiting for a chat or pastoral care issues. Please contact Canon Ann on 01267468136 if you wish to join in on zoom or email ann. howells1@gmail.com. The Facebook page is Awlbrosanclerlma. As always if you need information or clarification on any points please contact any member of the ministry team.

WI meeting A very successful WI meeting was held this month via Zoom with a wonderful guest speaker who also is a member. Julia Atkins gave a power point presentation entitled An Introduction to Miscellaneous Beadwork. Illustrated examples of her work were awe inspiring, displaying tambour work, mask making, fan embroidery, jewelry and more. Julia has exhibits in galleries around the world and is an acknowledged expert at her craft. She has won many awards and how fortunate we are to have her as a member. In thanking Julia, president Helen Morgan invited her to bring examples along when we are next able to meet in person . . . something to look forward to. Items in the monthly letter of interest included a ragon competition planned for the summer months involving the creation of a dragon using any medium along with a countywide dragon-themed treasure hunt. Also a visit to Ireland is planned for early September and an activity day in Llangranog on July 24. Details of the literary classes for the WI Show are with Kay. Names were taken for the county 200 Club and a decision on how to celebrate our 70th anniversary will be made in March. Our next Zoom meeting will be on Monday, February 8, at 2.30pm, again to be co-hosted by Helen and Jan. At this month’s meeting we numbered 18 so are increasing each time in numbers. Not as good as a face-to-face meeting obviously but it is a chance to shout hello. Sports club meeting Due to ongoing uncertainty regarding meetings being held in open spaces it has been decided that the Saturday morning meeting planned for January 30 will now be rescheduled for Saturday, February 8, at 10am. There are issues which need decisions to be made prior to that date and these will need to be decided remotely.
