Police seize drugs, cash and a fake gun in raids
POLICE carrying out two separate raids in Carmarthenshire have seized items including hundreds of grams of cannabis, nearly £2,000 in cash and a fake gun.
Officers executed the drug warrants at properties in Dan y Bryn in Pembrey and Llys y Llyfrgell in Burry Port on Friday.
Items recovered from the properties included 738g of cannabis, a quantity of a substance believed to be amphetamine, 170 packets of what is believed to be a psychoactive substance, cash totalling more than £1,800, an imitation firearm and drugs paraphernalia.
Images released by police show a number of officers carrying out the raids with equipment including a battering ram, and at one of the addresses a door appears to have been smashed through.
Images also show several bags of seized items which were located at the properties, containing drugs, cash and other paraphernalia.
Sergeant Gemma Davies of Dyfed-powys Police said: “I hope this positive action reassures the community that we are taking measures to target those involved in drug use and criminality and we will continue our efforts to keep the public safe.
“I would encourage our communities to report any concerns about the use or supply of drugs to us.”
Police confirmed that no arrests have been made. However, four people will be interviewed in connection with the raids.
