Although we are still in the early stages of this vaccine programme, attendance at the clinics and compliance with social distancing has been excellent. We would like to thank Pontyberem Community Council for allowing us use of the Memorial Hall, with very little notice and for their continued assistance.” Doctors A Scourfield, E Scourfield and Hussain continue: “Our thanks also to the volunteers who have helped with organising the clinics. During the coming weeks we will be inviting patients in the following cohorts: all those 65 years of age and over; all individual­s 16 to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality; all 60 years of age and over; all those 55 years of age and over and all those 50 years of age and over.”

Priority postbox In response to applicatio­n from residents in Bancffosfe­len and Crwbin for Covid home-testing kits the main postbox near the brow of Heol y Banc has been designated as a ‘priority’ box for the mailing of completed tests.
