Fundraisin­g success Over the bank holiday weekend the ever-busy pairing of Bridget Essex and Andy Jones organised sales stalls in the car park and raised £276.74 selling home produce and bric-a-brac. All money raised was towards the Indian Covid Appeal fund managed through Oxfam. Thank you to all who supported these busy ladies and all being well look out for them again over the next bank holiday weekend. Well done to them both.

Beach clean On Saturday as part of the Million Mile Clean Campaign you can join the latest beach clean-up initiative which will start from the main car park at 10am. All welcome.

Memorial Hall AGM reminder On Wednesday, May 26 the annual general meeting for the committee of the Memorial Hall will be held via Zoom starting at 7.30pm. Should you wish to join this meeting please email Anthea Evans for the required Zoom link on antheamain@gmail.com

Church services Sunday will be the fourth Sunday in the month and therefore a church service will be held in St Ystyffan’s Church at 9.45am. A warm welcome is extended to you all.

Sports Meeting On Monday, trustees of the Sports Associatio­n will meet at the Morfa Pavilion at 7.30pm. Prior to the meeting the weekly circuit training will take place on the Muga/tennis court from 6pm to 7pm. Physical exercise to suit all ages and abilities and also fun. Cost per session is £7.

Calling all stallholde­rs From Saturday, and on each following Saturday throughout the summer, a table will be made available in the main car park to allow any local resident wishing to sell produce, plants, bric-a-brac, etc. There is no fee for the use of the table and it will be available from 9am to 5pm. If you are interested please contact Roger Davies on 241308 to check availabili­ty and pre-book. Donations to local charities from stallholde­rs will be much appreciate­d but are not compulsory. If it is for a charity you can display details on your stall.

Looking ahead Our mock mayor Roger Davies is issuing a preliminar­y notice to you all with the news that a singalong and picnic will be held in the grounds of the castle on Bank Holiday Saturday, August 28, and the mayor’s mystery tour will be on Saturday, September 4, with further details to follow on both events.
