Your views on: ‘Robowarden’ fines; warning after Covidpositive pub visits

-

Carmarthenshire Council has made more than £115,000 in fines in the two years since it started using a mobile ‘robowarden’ which drives around recording people’s illegal parking. Here’s what you thought about it . . .

Kayla Cooney And why isn’t it getting the tens of cars parked on double yellow lines outside Johnstown School blocking the road and corners? Alot of elderly up there... God forbid emergency services get called, they wouldn’t be able to get past!

Siobhan Heath 100%!! It was the school kids that named it – yet he stays miles away from the schools! Gavin Collins Doing a good job. If people don’t park illegally they won’t get a ticket.

Gary Phillips I hope it catches all those parking in disabled bays along Lammas Street. Mostly Audis and BMWS.

Ian Walters There are cars which perform a similar role in a county in England. The numpties who drive one of them break so many motoring rules where they believe they are above the law that it becomes fun reporting them to the police. They also wrote one off by forgetting the extra height their cameras added (it’s on a periscope) and hit a height restriction bar at the entry to a car cark and overturned the car. Hilarious.

Michelle Girdler So why isn’t it getting the idiots that park on the yellow lines in Water Street then in the way of the traffic lights?

John Ap Islwyn The car doesn’t cost folk money, illegal parking costs folk money.

Anthony Cartwright It would quadruple the fines if it went past the schools at start and finish times as it’s the most important run of the day and some parents think they’re above the law and their kids and themselves can’t use those magic things called legs.

People are being warned to be wary of coronavirus symptoms after a person confirmed to have the virus visited the Queen of Hearts pub in Cwmgors, near Ammanford, four times in five days. Here are some of your views:

Kimberley Wilson Be mindful? Our kids are being sent home for coughing, and they’re being told to be mindful! Madness.

Meirion Thomas Mbe These are the challenges people have when people meet in pubs and where people gather, time will come where people will need to show their vaccine cards.
