SUDDEN DEATH INVESTIGATED
WOMAN, 28, FOUND DEAD
POLICE are investigating the sudden death of a 28-year-old woman in Johnstown, Carmarthen.
Dyfed-powys Police has described the death as “unexplained”. It said officers were called to Heol Drindod on Wednesday, June 23, and remained on the scene the following day.
A spokeswoman for the force said on Thursday: “Police are investigating a sudden death at Heol Drindod, Johnstown. Sadly a woman passed away yesterday (June 23), and officers remain at the scene today.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained, and residents may notice some police activity locally while officers make inquiries.
“The woman’s family has been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. HM Coroner is aware.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place.”

A spokesman for The Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called to attend a medical emergency in the Johnstown area yesterday, Wednesday, June 23, at approximately 2.28pm. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance. No further details are available.”
Details of the deceased had not been released by the time the Journal went to press.
