Dilys, of Clos Afallon, died peacefully on June 4 at her home; she was the widow of the late John Jones, and was a much-loved mother of Lisa and Mark, respected mother-in-law of Emma, loving and devoted Gu of Freddie and Evie, dear cousin of Aeron and Donna, and a fond sister-in-law of Sally and Arthur. Cydymdeiml­adau mawr i chi gyd fel teulu ar eich colled. The funeral was on June 23 at Llanelli Crematoriu­m.

Urdd change Ysgol Gymraeg Gwaun-caegurwen reminds you that the Urdd Club is being postponed for a week, therefore Year 3 was on June 17, Year 4 on June 24 and Year 5/6 will be on July 1.

Cafe Canolfan Maerdy’s Community Cafe at New Road, Tai’rgwaith, now has outdoor seating. It is open between 9.30am and 2.30pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am to 2pm on Saturdays.
