Prince’s Trust Programme Are you leaving school in June and currently have no plans for your next steps? Look no further than the LRC Training Prince’s Trust Programme starting at the end of June. Cefn Sidan U3A Some meetings have now started in the main Memorial Hall, NOT the Pensioners Hall, so that social distancing can be observed. Masks should be worn where possible. Friday is the cycle group meeting at 10.30am at the Blue Mussels at the harbour. Monday is the yoga group at 10.30am with Richard Rees at £3 per session. Also on Monday work on the Station Garden at 10am. Tuesday is the committee meeting at 10.30am.wednesday, July 7, is the whist group in the Neptune at 2.30pm. Monday, July 12, is the quiz group in the Neptune at 2.15pm. Wednesday, July 14, is the coffee morning at 10.45am.please bring your own cup or mug and remember take it home again and respect social distancing with four at a table. Thursday, July 15, the luncheon club are going to the Cofio Lounge, Carmarthen, at 1pm. Friday, July 16, is the cycle group meeting at 10.30am at the Blue Mussels at the harbour. Further details to follow for rest of month. There is Welsh conversati­on every Friday at 2pm. Inside meetings now take place in the main Memorial Hall. New members will be most welcome. Food Forward Food Boxes Collaborat­ing with Fairshare and Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council, Food Forward Burry Port is a Lotteryfun­ded project which will support residents in your area. Balls of fun This latest project by the community is to yarn bomb Pembrey and Burry Port in various locations. We need your help in knitting or crocheting brightly-coloured long scarf lengths with a width of 7 inches/17 centimetre­s with the length as long as you like. Also, if you can create 3D objects in wool, poppies, or seaside-type knits, we would love to hear from you. Contact Sharron on 07793 890589. We are supported by Burry Port and Pembrey Town Council.

Recycle your garden pots Drop them in the collection tub in the Memorial Hall car park provided by the town council.they will re-use them to provide flowers for the community or if you need some then help yourself.

Dog thefts Dyfed-powys Police has set up a taskforce to tackle dog thefts and has allocated a chief inspector to lead the operationa­l response. Dog fouling in Pembrey and Burry Port The enforcemen­t department of Carmarthen­shire Council are grateful for the informatio­n received of the many areas of particular concern,which will be shared with the various officers who patrol our areas and hopefully their presence will help reduce the problem and catch some of the offenders.
