BUSINESS STATUS AWARDED SINCLAIR JAGUAR LAND ROVER

-

Sinclair Jaguar Land Rover is looking to drive businesses forward as lockdown restrictions are eased after being appointed as an official JLR Fleet & Business Centre covering Swansea and West.

The status means that the Group will be able to supply and support larger fleet accounts from its retailers - Sinclair Jaguar Land Rover Swansea and Sinclair Land Rover Hay-on-wye - and provide an enhanced service to its clients through the appointment of a dedicated Local Business Development Manager.

Marc Roberts has been recruited to the new role and he’s looking forward to establishing the Centre and promoting the appeal of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands amongst companies and business drivers. He has previously spent the past 13 years in sales and corporate posts with Volvo and Toyota franchises in Sussex.

“Having been employed by a PLC since 2014, there was great appeal to work for a successful family-run business like the Sinclair Group and to have the chance to develop and grow a new venture within it,” he said. “My wife has family connections to South Wales so our long-term goal was to move here from South East England for a better work/life balance and this was the perfect opportunity - not only from a family perspective but professionally too because of the excitement surrounding the Jaguar and Land Rover product ranges both now and in the next few years.”

Whilst the pandemic has posed its challenges, Marc has overseen a number of measures to ensure existing and prospective Sinclair Jaguar Land Rover customers have remained safe and well looked after. Amongst the initiatives introduced include COVIDSAFE external test drives, contact-free collection and delivery and paperless transactions.

“Like every business, we’ve had to make practical changes but, in terms of our approach and ethos, we’ve continued to offer a first-class service and the aim is now to extend this to even more business owners and fleet decision makers,” continued Marc.

“In the coming weeks and months, I hope to be able to spend more time speaking with local businesses via network meetings, physical appointments when we can and sharing our offers and future model plans more regularly and extensively with the online community.”

Marc says that there are certainly plenty of positive talking points surrounding the latest Jaguar and Land Rover models not least the improved efficiency and enhanced performance together with the lower CO2 emissions and tax advantages afforded by their state-of-the-art Mild Hybrid (MHEV) petrol and diesel engines and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.

“The technology has helped to reduce the Benefit in Kind rating on the Jaguar E-PACE 300e, Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport to just 11 per cent in this current tax year, which is hugely attractive,” he added. “Creating quite a stir right now is the incredible Jaguar I-PACE which combines sports car performance of 400BHP, 696Nm of torque and acceleration from standstill to 60mph in a mere 4.5 seconds with the taxation benefits of 1 per cent BIK and 100% first year allowance write down. We’re able to offer immediate delivery and extended test drives on both 21MY and 22MY at present too.”

Marc concluded: “Building on the brands’ reputations for great design, luxury, innovation, outstanding build quality and engineering, these tax ratings make Jaguar and Land Rover even more appealing for those seeking a premium product and sustainable low emission motoring.

“With future electrification for Jaguar completed within the next four years and across the entire Land Rover range by 2030, there are many more exciting developments to come so watch this space.”
