Library service The mobile library is in the car park opposite the hall on Tuesdays from 1.45pm to 4pm. You can request any item available in any of the public libraries in Carmarthen­shire either through the online catalogue or ask the mobile library staff. The item can then be collected from the mobile library or another library of your choice. Quiz night A quiz night to raise funds for the Family Centre/canolfan Y Teulu is on Friday at 7pm in Tumble ‘Workies’. Tickets are £5 per person and include cawl and Welsh cakes. Teams should be between 2 and 6 people. Please pay for tickets are in advance. Tickets may be had by calling at the centre or by emailing tumblefami­lycentre@ outlook.com or by sending a message via Facebook. The centre is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8.30am to 4pm and offers various activities and services for families. Contact the centre for informatio­n about what is available and when.

Clean-up The next litter pick organised by local environmen­t group, Cadw’r Mynydd Mawr yn Daclus/ Keep MM Tidy, will be on Saturday morning. The group will be concentrat­ing on Tumble village again, tackling areas not covered last time. Please meet at the car park near the ‘Workies’ at 11am. The group means to finish promptly, before 1pm, so that those who wish to will be able to watch the rugby match between Wales and England. Please help if you can spare some time and elbow grease! Neuadd y Tymbl Various activities and services are now available in the hall including the Performanc­e Factory stage school, monthly NAFFI veteran meetings, keep fit sessions and the Foot Clinic. Cyfle is back and line dancing may be back soon. Llannon Community Council aims to improve the quality of life of residents. Ten councillor­s are elected to represent the villages of Tumble, Llannon, and Cwm-mawr and five represent Cross Hands.
