Free webinars to help tourism and hospitality businesses stand out online

-

Superfast Business Wales has brought back its hugely popular social media and online tools webinars tailored for the tourism and hospitality sector.

The two-part series, starting 23 March, will show business owners how to make better use of social media to increase online reach as well as digital solutions, such as online booking systems, which make running a business easier.

After attending Superfast Business Wales webinars last year and having a one-to-one session with a digital business adviser, the Oxwich Bay Hotel reviewed how it used digital within the business.

“We looked at our booking system and how we were using our social media. Previously, we used to reach over 400 people on Facebook with an engagement of 126. We are now reaching over 17,000 people with average engagement of 12,000.

“Superfast Business Wales enabled us to market ourselves, as we were previously using commission-based online travel agency services, which took a lot from us.”

Support from Superfast Business Wales also paid off for glamping business Nights Under Canvas.

“They really helped me upskill in certain areas such as digital marketing. It was new terminology, but getting the business prominent on search engines was great.

“We’ve also been able to utilise cloud technologies and implement disaster recovery back up through the use of Google Drive and Dropbox, which not only gives me peace of mind, but allows me to access work from wherever I am across Wales.”

Wonderfully Wild sought support from Superfast Business Wales when it launched its new website in 2019.

“The free website appraisal and social media workshop were really useful. We made immediate changes, such as bringing in a new online booking system, which made it easier for customers to book with us directly.”
