BWLCH Rangers were crowned champions of reserve division three in the LTC Mobility Carmarthenshire League following a 9-0 midweek win in their away game against Llangennech A.

There was midweek action in the TG Davies Senior Cup, Burry Port getting off the mark in Group A with a hard-fought 2-0 win at home to Llangennech.

Goals from Lewis Bunyan and Jamie Fleming were enough to secure maximum points.

There was a dramatic climax to the Group B game between FC Carmarthen and visiting Kidwelly Town.

Just when it looked as Kidwelly were heading for a 2-1 win thanks to goals by Liam Jones and Ethan Gamble, the home team rescued a point courtesy of a 91st-minute equaliser from Ben Thomas. Also on target for FC Carmarthen was Sion Howells.

Llandovery Town were in action at Johnstown in the same group and kept their 100 per cent record intact with an impressive 4-2 win.

Striker Ryan Bailey was on fire with a hat-trick for Llandovery, and there was a goal for Dan Pearce. The assists came from Mark Dyer, Tom Hyde, Scott Price and Chris Challenger.

Group C saw the much-awaited clash between division one champions Felinfoel and visiting division two champions Caerbryn. In a tight game, Curtis Evans scored the only goal to earn the home team a 1-0 win.

But leaders Felinfoel suffered their first defeat in the group three days later, going down 2-1 at home to Pengelli, for whom Craig Jones and Niall Harrington found the net. A goal from Chris James wasn’t quite enough for Foel.

West End United boosted their chance of progressing from the group stage, defying the odds with a 3-1 win at home to Killay. Striker Stewart Hemingway was again a handful with two goals, and there was one for James Doel.

It was always going to be an uphill struggle in Group E for CP Suburbs, and it was a hard day at the office in a 17-1 defeat away to Premier division champions Trostre AFC. Rhys Griffiths and Chris Waters had a field day with five goals each.

Six of the goals were shared equally between Liam Jones, Ashton Jones and Luke Jones, while the visitors added to their misery by conceding an own goal.

And Trostre followed up on Saturday with another crushing win, 9-4 against visiting Bancffosfelen. There was a hat-trick for Chris Waters.

Liam Jones and Jamie Jenkins struck with two goals each, while Dominic Saunders and Rhys Griffiths also netted.

The top three teams in each of the five groups will qualify for the knockout stage, and they will be joined by the best fourth-placed team.

In a vital game in Group B of the Darch Cup, FC Carmarthen Reserves made ground advantage count in a 4-1 win at home to Pwll Athletic Reserves. Osian Thomas scored two and Ashley Williams and Andrei Oselinschi one each for the hosts.

Leaders Seaside Reserves made it four out of four in Group D, Joseph Lloyd striking twice in a 6-1 win away to Bancffosfelen Reserves. There were goals also for Nathan Lewis, Jack Dumayne, Jordan Finnigan and Lewis Smith.
