See early noughties bands in their pomp at ladies day

-

THEY could be described as guilty pleasure bands for many who remember seeing them in their pomp back in the early noughties.

And for one night only, Liberty X and S Club Allstars will perform together in west Wales in front of an audience dressed to the nines.

The bands will perform at Ladies Day at Ffos Las Racecourse on Friday, August 26 - where fashion will be on display at the Trimsaran venue’s most stylish event of the season for a day when flat racing meets style.

Liberty X, best known for hits such as Just A Little and Holding On For You, will be represented by their original female members, Jessica Taylor, Kelli Young and Michelle Heaton.

S Club Allstars, made up of members of S Club 7 and S Club 8, will be represented by Bradley Mcintosh, Tina Barrett and Stacey Franks, performing familiar hits such as S Club Party, Don’t Stop Movin’, Reach and Bring It All Back.

Ladies in attendance are encouraged to dress to impress and enter the ‘best dressed lady’ competition on the day, showing off stylish outfits and beautiful headwear to impress the judges in the hopes of taking home a £500 cash prize. Ffos Las team members will be in the crowd looking out for any particularly stunning outfits and handing out congratulations vouchers to those shortlisted. The shortlist will then be shown on the big screen and ladies will be invited onto the stage for the final judging to take place.

Gates open at 11am, with the first race beginning at 1.35pm and the last race at 4.57pm. Entertainment will begin from 5.10pm and the event closes at 7.30pm. A return coach will run to and from Llanelli and Carmarthen before and after the event.
