THE line-up of Carmarthen Music Festival (CMF) has been revealed.

The first event of its kind will showcase more than 35 acts across several venues in the town on Saturday, August 27.

It is being organised by Carmarthen Round Table, which has been rallying for performers from all genres to get on the bill over recent months.

Among those performing on the main stage in Guildhall Square are country music entertainer the Welsh Whisperer (pictured), Dapper Cadavers and singer songwriter Rona Mac.

Venues taking part in the festival are Cwrw, Sloppy Joe’s Streetfood, Quins RFC club house, Diablo’s, Lucifer’s, The Vine, Cuckoo’s, Laser Station and Yr Atom.

The day also aims to boost the town’s footfall by attracting tourists over the holiday weekend too.

Marc Ingram, chairman of the Round Table said: “We are not clashing with any major event in Pembrokeshire that day, so the hope is that people will come along and enjoy the music and atmosphere.

“We will be hosting over 35 acts across 10 different stages.

“We wanted to organise something to help invigorate our lovely town and decided on a multi-venue music festival to help local traders, the nighttime economy and local artists and bands.

“The CMF will showcase over 35 live acts across 10 different stages, with a wide range of music styles to suit all ages and tastes.

“This event is completely free to attend, thanks to financial support from Carmarthen Bid (Business Improvement District) and other private sponsors.

“The event is scheduled to start at mid day at the main stage in Guildhall Square and it will end at the other venues late into the night.”
