GCG senior citizens The branch met for their latest monthly meeting on August 4 at the Community Hall when we had a guest speaker from the local fire service informing us of all the latest safety at home tips, advice on fire alarms and the like. We congratulated a number of members who are celebrating birthdays during the month, namely Diana Jones, Faye Rees, Sandra Morgan and Wendy Pugh. The lucky raffle winner, meanwhile, was one of these birthday ladies, Diana Jones. GCG OAP branch’s next gathering will be on Thursday, September 1, at 2pm at the hall on New Road, across the road from Cwmgors RFC, when we will have the return of a lady who will be leading us with more gentle exercise, keep fit you can do while sitting, etc. New members are always welcome.
