Llandeilo and District Civic Society

FOLLOWING the Llandeilo and District Civic Society’s very uccessful relaunch event on July 26 with a wonderfully informative talk by Thomas Lloyd on Architects of the Tywi Valley, the society’s next event will be a talk on Tuesday, September 6 about the Tywi Valley Path Project.

The talk will explain how work is progressing on the Tywi Valley Path for cyclists and walkers which will connect Llandeilo with Carmarthen.

Designs will be shown for new bridges now needed for the path which follows the scenic route of the dismantled old railway line between the two towns.

The speaker will be Sam Palmer, Carmarthenshire Council’s Tywi Valley Path officer, and the talk will be held at 7.30pm in the Capel Newydd Vestry Hall, Crescent Road, Llandeilo.

There will be an admission charge of £3 for non-members of the Civic Society.
