PLANT OF THE WEEK

- CLEMATIS ‘MADAME JULIA CORREVON’

A beautiful late-flowering clematis that has rich red flowers – the petals are distinctive for their intense colour and habit of gently twisting or “recurving” at the tips.

A very free-flowering variety, it will grow vigorously and up to 10 feet. It has good drought tolerance and resistance to clematis wilt.

Grow in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil.

Cut back stems hard in spring as it flowers on fresh wood.
