Excellent A-level results

YSGOL Gyfun Emlyn said it was extremely pleased to report another excellent set of A-level results.

The Teifi Valley school said the consistent success over recent years is a tribute to hard-working students, the support of parents and the dedication of excellent staff.

A total of 35% of grades were at A* or A with 66% of grades at A* - B. 79% of grades were at A* - C.

Notable successes included Jarrah Farkash (two A*s and three As), Owen Harries (four As), Jakub Rutkoswki (A*, three As and a B) and Megan Wilson (two A*s and an A).

Head teacher Hugh Thomas said: “The school is very proud of all the students, nearly all of whom have gained a place in their first-choice university.

“I would like to congratula­te all of our students and express my gratitude to the staff for their hard work and to the parents and the governing body for their support during another challengin­g year. We wish all our students every success in the future.”
