Water company sponsors tennis tournament

A WEST Wales-based mineral water company is the main sponsor at this week’s Laver Cup tennis tournament in London.

Ty Nant, which is bottled at Bethania, near Llanon in Ceredigion, has announced it is the event sponsor for the international event at the O2 Arena between September 23 and 25.

It will see teams from Europe and the rest of the world face off against each other.

Team Europe will be captained by Bjorn Borg and Team World captained by John Mcenroe, with players such as Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray taking part.

It is expected to be the last major tournament for Federer before he retires.

This sponsorship is an impressive achievement for Ty Nant, with its name being placed next to global sponsors of the competition such as Rolex, Credit Suisse, Mercedes and Moet and Chandon.

Ty Nant recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary and said it was proud to be a quintessentially Welsh brand.

Over the years the unmistakable sleek, deep-blue glass bottle has appeared in the background of lots of big-screen movies and world-famous TV shows.

Recently the original blue bottle has been seen in Disney+ hit Only Murders in the Building, which stars Steven Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
