Festival could be the start of annual event

- Mansel Thomas via email

I WOULD like to congratulate the Carmarthen Round Table for organising a very successful music festival held on Saturday, August 27.

It was well organised, providing a wide genre of music in various venues. This could form the basis for what should be from now on an annual event. Obviously, with hindsight, a few adjustments may be required and one major change that I would like to see would be a policy of having Welsh language groups included in various venues.

On that particular Saturday, Carmarthen Town Council also organised a family day in the park featuring The Welsh Whisperer. He provided a thoroughly entertaining session singing in both languages in his own unique style. It would be wonderful for the town to have this annual event with both the Town Council and the Round Table working in unison in the organisation of the event.
