WI meeting Our September meeting began on a solemn note with president Helen Morgan announcing a minute’s silence in memory of Her Majesty the Queen and also for our much missed loyal member Gail Cole, a valued committee member since 2014. Members were thanked for their contributions to the very successful bingo night and all who contributed to the carnival float. The monthly letter contained several opportunities for the coming months, including craft days, a fashion show, a tree celebration day at Aberglasney and a weekend in London planned for January. Ann Iorwerth was invited to explain plans for the transfer of our memorial garden from Clarence Hill to the garden behind the Memorial Hall, a more accessible and safer area in which to work. Helen announced plans for our Christmas dinner which will be in the Pryd, Ferryside, on Monday, December 12, with coach provided. A much-delayed group meeting will be on Wednesday, October 19, in Laugharne. More
