Crazy Kitchen Science starts at Garnant Family Centre ‘s community garden on October 6, with lots of fun, experiments, laughs and games (including how to make elephant toothpaste?!). Come and experience food in a way you never have before on Thursdays from 3.30pm to 5pm, for free. Have fun learning,and much more.
A beginners’ gardening course has just started, as from September 13, for six weeks (between 10am and 11.30am), these being relaxed sessions in the Garnant Family Centre community garden, covering basic gardening tasks and helping prepare for the autumn and winter. Bumps to Babies offers pregnant ladies, those first time mothers or anyone with a baby up to 12 months a chance to meet up with fellow mothers and share experiences, chat over a coffee, at Garnant Family Centre on Fridays, from 9am to 11am; baby massage sessions follow after 11am, and you are welcome to bring along dad, a grandparent or friend for support.
98th Legion AGM The Garnant branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding their 98th annual general meeting on Thursday, October 6, at Garnant Club’s lounge, commencing at 7.30pm; all are welcome.
Wedding anniversary Very best wishes to Christine and Byron Hill of Cowell Road, Garnant on their 44th wedding anniversary this weekend. Concert Ysgol y Bedol, Lleisiau’r Cwm, Côr Meibion Dyffryn Aman and other local artists will be performing in concert this Friday at 7pm, Bethel Newydd Chapel, Garnant. Entry £3. A warm welcome to all. Proceeds go to the Cwmaman Eisteddfod 2023 fundraising appeal.
