Club reopened its doors to members for the first time since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Dorothy Jones took the chair as chairman Ann Langabeer was unable to attend. Prior to the meeting commencing a minutes silence was held for club members who had passed away during the pandemic: John Wagstaffe; Edna Bream; Mary Dunning; Stella Treharne. Best wishes were extended to Esme Wagstaffe who moved back to Reading to be nearer to family. Members had the opportunity to have a good chat and catch up. Members are reminded that the next meeting in October reverts to winter time, Tuesday, October 11, at 2pm when the guest speaker is Owen Bennett.
