Victory for Len and Alan

CARMARTHEN Golf Club seniors’ latest competition was a fourball betterball.

A total of 34 pairs entered and in bright conditions and hardly any wind the scoring was excellent.

Coming out on top with an outstanding 47 points were Len Davies and Alan Williams. Two points further back were Peter Collins and Steve Redding.

Two pairs scored 44 points, with Bruce Morris and Wyn Jones taking third on countback from Chris Jones and Neville Jones.

In fifth with 43 points were Cliff Webb and Rob Thomas.

This week the seniors return to an individual stableford competition.
