It’s hard for Llanelli as Cardiff extend winning run

-

LLANELLI remain with just a solitary win to their name in the Indigo Premiership after they lost at home to Cardiff last Tuesday night.

It was a tough occasion for the West Walians as Cardiff won their fifth successive game in the league.

Cardiff are now second in the table behind leaders Aberavon, while Llanelli

are back in eighth.

Cardiff were on top from the start and scored a couple of early tries through Ellis Bevan and James Beal.

Nathan Hudd grabbed their third try before Harrison James extended their lead with a penalty.

Jac Price offered Llanelli some hope with a try, but Cardiff secured their bonus-point score on the stroke of half-time through Marc Thomas.

Llanelli claimed the first try of the second half when Luca Gianini went over.

But Cardiff hit back when Dewi

Cross touched down.

Ellis Thomas added to the visitors’ advantage before Llanelli replied via Jac Davies.

Cardiff were in no mood to see their healthy lead wiped away and Cross completed his hat-trick with two more tries in the closing minutes.
