IT’S NOT JUST NEW IPADS ON THE WAY
To go with these new ipads, Apple also unleashed the next version of its ipados this week – in fact it launched new versions of its iphone and Mac operating systems, too.
New features in ipados 16 include Stage Manager, a new way to have multiple apps open and manage multitasking, which is also an option on the Mac.
Also new is the ability to share your icloud Photo Library with others to make sure you have all the photos from your events whether you took them or not.
And there’s also, for the first time, a native weather app in ipados.
Other features bring ipados up to par with iphone – so the ability to unsend and edit imessages is now an ipad feature too.
A new update to iphone this week also brought the ability to use the Apple Fitness features that had hitherto required an Apple Watch to iphone users – so you can sign up for that and access all the training videos just with an iphone. All the new operating systems are available now as a free update.
