This is the 10th running of the

DG Jones Agri Ltd Powys Lanes Rally and each time the event has been won by a Ford Escort MKII, so again this year the organisers are offering a free entry on next year’s event for the first non-ford Escort to win the rally.

Gerwyn Jones of DG Jones Agri Ltd, who is sponsoring the event, said: “This is one of the best rallies of the year using the classic lanes of Mid Wales, which will be a true test for drivers and navigators.”

The provisional top 10 is: 1. George Williams & Cadog Davies, Ford Escort MKII; 2. Andy Davies & Shaun Richards, Subaru Impreza; 3. Richard Jerman & Alan James, Ford Escort MKII; 4. Will Arrowsmith &

Dafydd Evans, Ford Escort MKII;

When the event last ran in 2019, the rally donated £750 each to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and the DPJ Foundation. This year’s Powys Lanes Rally will be supporting

Llandovery Hospital League of Friends.

Epynt Motor Club would like to thank all residents along the route for their co-operation in the running of the event and would value their assistance in ensuring that all livestock, pets and vehicles are kept safely off the road on the night of the rally.
