Rik Mayall’s TV character Rick, right, was a devoted Cliff Richard fan and the comedy was named after the singer’s record The Young Ones. The cast teamed up with Sir Cliff in 1986 to perform a version of his 1959 hit Living Doll, right, for Comic Relief. The single spent three weeks at the top of the UK music charts and sold a million records.
