POLICE are hunting for a hit-and-run driver who left a pensioner seriously injured.

The 67-year-old was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a vehicle that has been described as a “lorry with a black trailer”, near Crymych, Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit are investigating the “serious” accident that happened on the A478 between Glandwr and Crymych on Friday afternoon between 2.40pm and 3pm. Police said the pedestrian was walking in the direction of Crymych, when he was struck by a vehicle.
