Lions light service to remember loved ones

-

AMMANFORD Lions Club will hold its annual Tree of Light Service at the town’s All Saints Church on Monday, December 12, at 6.30pm.

The service allows people to remember lost loved ones as Christmas approaches by sponsoring a light in their memory or a cause close to their hearts.

Alun Hughes at the club said: “The tree of light will be turned on inside the church at the start of the evening and remain until after Christmas.

“Accompanying the service will be the choir from Saron Primary School, along with Ammanford Town Silver Band.

“Everyone is welcome, whether they sponsor a light or not, and if anyone wants to sponsor a light, there is no obligation to attend the service.”

He added: “A remembrance card with the name of the person you are remembering will be sent to each sponsor prior to Christmas.

“The names of all those remembered will be placed in a remembrance book which will remain in the church throughout the coming year.”

There is a minimum donation of £5.
