-

A Santa fun run and stroll will be held in aid of the foodbank on Sunday, December 11.

THE Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club has joined forces with Whitland Air Cadets to raise funds for the town’s foodbank.

The cadets volunteered to assist Rotary members in raising money for Whitland Foodbank – and even Santa is involved.

A charitable Santa fun run and stroll will be held in aid of the foodbank on Sunday, December 11, at noon, starting and finishing at the Whitland Bowling Club in Parc Dr Owen. Locals are invited to join in and help raise funds.

Santa also called in to see the sponsors of the event, Davies Builders Merchants and the town’s Co-op store.

Rotarian secretary Chris

Williams thanked Oliver Prosser, Co-op store manager, for kindly donating sweets to be given free to children who will be taking part in the fun run.

Davies Builders Merchants has given a generous financial donation to the Rotary club which will cover the cost of advertising banners.

Children under the age of eight will be entered into the run for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Entry forms can be found on the Rotary website nwrotary.org and entrants will be able to collect their Santa suits at Whitland Bowling Club from 10.30am on the day of the event.
