Llangynog Llangynog Hall Centenary Dance

What a fantastic night we all had on Saturday, November 19. The Keith Marshall Band were superb, a nine-piece band with Sarah Benbow singing, playing a wonderful selection of songs that got everyone up dancing. We were lucky to have dancers Pat and Sian teaching us all The Lambeth Walk. What a treat! The hall was beautifull­y decorated set out in cabaret style, tables laden with food and drink. Don’t miss the next one! New local covers band New local band Anthology are performing at the hall on December 10 at 7.30pm. Local musicians Chris and Jacqui Rose, who have performed many times over the years in various concerts at the hall, are part of the line-up of five musicians – Chris Rose on bass, Danny Chang on lead guitar, Jacqui Rose on keyboards, Martin Bowen on drums and singer Amanda Short. The band cover songs from the 60s to the present day, including Tina Turner, Doobie Brothers, Blondie, Amy Winehouse, Santana, The Carpenters, UB40, Carole King, etc. The hall will be cabaret-style so feel free to bring your own food and drink. Coffee mornings Don’t forget coffee mornings every Thursday at the hall from 10.30am to 12.30pm, a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours and sample some delicious homemade cakes.
