Ben steers Trots home in difficult 10-mile race

A TOTAL of 28 runners from Taf Running and Orienteeri­ng took part in the Sospan multi-terrain race held at Pembrey Country Park.

Ben Hutchison was first from the St Clears club to complete the testing 10-mile course, run over sandy forest tracks with a good proportion of sand dunes and a mile stretch of beach.

He finished 16th in one hour and six minutes.

Three minutes behind was Kevin Griffiths in 34th, winning the M55 category, and next was F55 winner Lindy Eynon in 75th.

Mary Anthony was third in this category.
