About Eden’s lakes

Carpworld - - CHILLED OUT -

Eden’s Lakes is a three lake carp fishing complex just into the La Creuse region of France. Since we took ownership in April 2009, it has undergone some massive changes including a totally new hand-picked selection of carp stock for each lake in winter of 2010/2011.

Originally we set out to create a carp fishing complex that catered for all types of carp fishing situations, be it specimen hunting, action-packed runs fishing or general pleasure fishing. That was, of course, until we discovered that Eden’s Lakes is more special than we could ever have imagined.

Our carp fishing lakes have produced massive carp over the last several years, with Dene putting in place a balanced feeding program and has resulted in significant weight gains in a very short period of time, and in several cases up to and over 8lb to 10lb in one year. Dene also decided to maximise the potential within the complex by restructuring the site into a venue for big fish angling but also for all angling abilities, and on a social side for single, small groups and families – or even exclusive bookings with the design of all the new swims on each lake.

The North Lake has been our number one carp specimen lake with a very high stamp of home-grown carp in excess of 68lb and with several more 60lb-plus fish, and many back up 50lb-plus as well and 40lb-plus fish. The lake has now set the standard for the other lakes to follow and with carefullydesigned feeding programs by Dene, along with nettings, removal of nuisance species and a reduction in the number of anglers per week, we are immensely confident that the other two lakes will not be far behind in future years.

Simon’s Lake has reached our second specimen lake status on the complex and every year the carp are growing, and growing into something special, and is now producing a high average of good 30s, 40s and a few 50s too.

Whilst Jolly Pads is our bit more of an action water with plenty of rod-bending activity to keep you busy at times, again the stamp of fish are on the up and growing every season too, with a very good high-average stamp of fish every week coming out and, of course, our regular sturgeon Merve to keep you entertained.

All the lakes have had completely new, comfortable double and single swims built with bulky timbers and soft gravel with excellent drainage to protect your bivvies. All swims contain a carp cradle, tripod and weigh sling.

It is with all this in mind, that Eden’s Lakes really is a place to keep your eye on and in the coming years we predict that spaces/weeks will be booked up in advance. For the 2017 season we have added brand new toilet and shower facilities to a very high standard and we are sure you will not be disappointed.

Simon’s Lake is a picturesque tree-lined three acre lake with two large doubles and one single swim. The swims have all been built with bulky timbers and have been designed with good drainage in mind and topped with soft gravel, and they have no more than four anglers per week. Simon’s Lake has been coming on very strong the last couple of years with significant weight gains for its fish and is now our second specialist lake on the complex. In another year or two this is going to be a massive big fish water just behind our North lake.

The lake is mainly a hard clay-bottomed lake with lumps and bumps, silt patches and gravel patches and bars, and a few overhanging trees and with around 100-plus fast weightgaining carp to above 55lb-plus. Simon’s has a fantastic stock of fish already with a few new 50s coming through every season. This certainly is an up and coming big fish water and to make things even better for 2018 we have removed a few of the smaller fish that were present, and replaced them with a further forty hand-picked carp between 28½lb and 40lb to compliment the already fantastic stock. - Team Eden’s Lakes
