After the drain-down and reworking 3&4 Pond was refilled and H&DAA purchased the property from the owners. It was subsequently stocked with carp from several different sources, but a few very old carp ended up in the lake that were believed to be from the same source as the Redmire carp – originally coming from Donald Leney’s Surrey Trout Farm. Here are captures of a couple of these beautiful Leney fish – one caught by the author of the article, Simon Crow, and the other by former Carp-talk employee, Ben Wales.
