Carp in French streets

Carpworld - - ECHOES -

Huge amounts of rain in the spring across Europe caused many problems, in particular for the large rivers of France. News reports showed the River Seine bursting its banks in some parts and causing some flooding in the most built-up areas. But elsewhere it was the fish that were in a spot of bother when the rivers Rhone and Saone burst their banks. The problem in those situations is that the fish often leave the fast currents of the main river in the search for more tranquil waters but, as the photo shows, this often leads to the fish losing their way. Indeed, these carp were pictured on a flooded road normally frequented by cars and pedestrians! Our only hope is that they found their way back home as the floods receded.
