German carp hunter, Philip Jakob caught this long French beauty on a trip to an undisclosed public water. Phil decided that it was the shallow water that he needed to be fishing but, with the fish still not feeding hard, he knew that he didn’t want to overdo things. So he fed only one to two handfuls of bait per rod and placed the baits in a depth of two meters. Some people believe that the shallows are the best areas at this time of year and Phil proved that to be true as he put several fish around this size on the mat. Phil used Imperial Bait’s Carptrack Crawfish black and white boilies.
