Over the last few months we’ve brought plenty of news from Italy, but mainly concentrating on the very prolific commercial waters in the north of the country – in particular Parco Del Brenta. But there are some stunning large public lakes in Italy too, and we are always on the lookout for any notable captures that come from those inland seas. So it was very nice when this cracking common landed on my desk from Lago di Pusiano. This is just one of those huge Italian lakes that was being spoken about a lot in the past, but in more recent times seemed to have gone off the radar. So thanks to Rafal Bartkowiak, who is part of Poland’s Nash Tackle Team, for not only catching this fine specimen that weighed over 20kg (44lb) but for sending it our way!
