Carpworld - - TOPCATS -

Stoke anglers, Matthew Perry and his four friends recently made the journey to Topcats from the UK. They’d had the trip booked for quite some time and were really looking forward to catching some of the exotic monsters that swim in the 5-acre lake at Thailand’s Topcats resort. The holiday got off to a good start on the first day with all the anglers in the party landing some big Giant Siamese Carp. The following day saw the group baiting up and consistently feeding the swims, and then the fishing really got going with all kinds species and sizes landed, including some Amazon Redtails. Matthew and his friends quickly slipped into a daily routine – they’d get up early in the day and fish for few hours. Then they’d go to the restaurant for breakfast and fill up their ice chest with drinks that would last them during the heat of the day, before returned to the lake and fishing until 5pm. At that point they’d return for dinner before slipping back to the waterside for a few hours at sunset chasing the big predators. All of the group’s members were successful, landing Arapaima up to 280lb – which naturally made their holiday so memorable. After such action they were determined to return in 2019. The total number of fish landed during their week was well over 300, which turns out to be about 60 fish per angler – a great catch rate! Topcats certainly offer the potential for a fantastic angling experience and provide excellent food and drinks. Their options also cater for family parties and include assistance with children.
