Cassien common

Carpworld - - TOPCATS -

Since the night fishing was ended at Cassien in 2013 far fewer anglers have been fishing the famous lake, and in turn we have been receiving far fewer reports from the venue. At this time of the year with the weather still unpredictable and days still fairly short, not many anglers take the chance of travelling all that way to get the rods out. But, of course, if you live locally then that just all plays into your hands and for Damien Simonelli, living close to the lake, he is able to pick his times and make the most of them. In just a few hours of fishing, Damien caught this big common carp and two more fish on a day session. He used Imperial Baits’ Uncle Bait Extra Strong boilies and placed them on the famous Kevin Ellis plateau. Just a couple of months ago that would have been impossible as the water level was so low that the plateau was completely out of the water. Since then the water has risen and the fish have been feeding!
