Armfield Angling round-up

Carpworld - - ECHOES -

First the Secret Garden venue, which is now widely regarded as the very best family venue in France and is going from strength to strength. The fish were fed throughout the last close season and are being caught in fantastic condition and showing staggering growth rates. Ken Higgot made his first trip to this venue with his wife to combine a holiday, utilising the great facilities and a spot of fishing and was rewarded with several fish including a spectacular 45lb 10oz common. Following on, the Dickens family enjoyed great action at the venue with several fish including the famous Jaffa koi and a bonus catfish of 56lb. Domaine de Jarlat is Armfield Angling’s latest lakeexclusive venue for up to four anglers. Paul Armfield always likes to experience these new venues first hand, from a customer’s perspective, and he certainly wasn’t disappointed with a recent visit. Just 48-hours on the venue resulted in two fish, the largest being a 48lb 8oz mirror. Both fish were caught fishing to a far margin with Eddie Sterckx Red Angel 20mm boilies. Lac de Villedon is just getting better and better and it’s one I very much look forward to returning to later this year. All the fish have benefitted from a boilie and pellet rule only, with Mystery, the big common, now topping 70lb, with other big fish also coming through the ranks. Not only are the big fish gaining weight dramatically, but some huge catches have been reported including a staggering 130 fish haul from swims 3, 4 and 5. The new Iktus Ruffaud, situated just south of Limoges, is now a top destination. The first UK anglers, Mark Tinker and Steven Clark, chose to fish from the floating Raptor swims located in one of the arms on this really special new venue. The pair were rewarded with 35 fish to just in excess of 49lb. This venue is really one to keep your eye on, having personally visited earlier this year in arctic conditions to film some holiday venue footage for Nash, I was able to experience first-hand its great facilities and gauge its huge future potential. As always Paul and Carmen are always looking for these blue chip new venues to add and I’m told they have something special to launch shortly! Watch this space on www.armfieldan
