Change of plan works out alright

Carpworld - - ECHOES -

Barry Robinson had a trip down to the River Lot planned for the late spring/early summer but, after days of rain, he was worried about the state of the river. So at the last minute he changed plans and ended up at Etang Baudy, a beautiful lake, owned by Wally and Jan Holder on the outskirts of St Yrieix in the Limousin region. They kindly fitted him in without any notice or fuss. It turned out to be a good move – he did six nights and had 19 carp to 46lb. This included five 20s, five 30s and two 40s. Nothing was too much trouble for the most knowledgeable of owners and during the session Barry even managed a triple take and their help was invaluable. Barry commented: “The resident carp are some of the fittest, hardest-fighting fish I have ever encountered, it was a joy to fish there!”
