This month Robert Fennings and his dad, plus their friend, Mark, made a return visit to Topcats for a week’s fishing. They really enjoy their fishing in Essex and any spare time is spent on the bank, but had been looking forward to this trip for some time. They were all up early every day and into the action with the usual mix of Giant Siamese Carp, Amazon Redtails, Arapaima, Giant Mekong Catfish, Ripsaw Catfish, Alligator Gar, Rita Catfish and many more! In total the three of them landed more than 40 fish in their six days. Robert caught a 250lb-plus Arapaima and was made up with this, and therefore had to claim ‘top rod’ as a result. They all got a great routine going with a breakfast delivery to the swims, fishing all day, then, at around 4pm, they’d head up to the restaurant for dinner with a quick dip in the pool, and then be back on the rods up to 8pm. Once finished it was back over for a relaxation session in the pool and then back to their bungalows for some TV and a few night caps! Owner Shaun Mcnutt wishes everyone tight lines and looks forward to seeing some Carpworld readers in the near future.
